"I Wanna Be A Magician" by Parry Gripp

I loved Lev Grossman's The Magicians and this song by Parry Gripp rules.

And yes, being a guy that writes songs about Science Fiction & Fantasy, I'm totally jealous that I didn't come up with a song about The Magicians first. :-)

Enjoy.

Author Playlists

I'm thinking of doing a regular feature on the blog titled Author Playlists. I'd simply post the weekly music playlist of 3 or 4 authors/bloggers/podcasters per week.

You can just take a screen shot of your iTunes Recently Played folder (like the shot above) and e-mail it to me. Or you can list a few artists and write a sentence or two about them. I think it'll be fun.

Who's interested?

Blade Runner & Bouzouki Video

I performed at the Confluence Sci-Fi Convention in Pittsburgh a few weeks ago. While I didn't manage to get any video from my performance, I did take this video with my iPod Touch in my hotel room.

Rachel Rosen was inspired by Philip K. Dick's Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep/Blade Runner.

If you like this song, you can download the original studio version from the Sci-Fi Songs album for free. Just click the Download button on the player below. If you're viewing this post in a feed reader, click here for the free download: Rachel Rosen song.
