Download "7 Rounds"... For Free!

How was your week?  If you're on the east coast, I hope you didn't let the snow slow down your creative work.

I just finished my 3rd instrumental piece for the "23 in '13" challenge.  It features electric & acoustic guitars, a full horn section and Irish Bouzouki.  It's called "7 Rounds."

You can click here to listen and download it for free:

If you like it, please share it with your friends on Facebook, Twitter and your blog by clicking the Share/Embed Button on the song page.

One minor note: the new piece is listed as "Buy Now: Pay What You Want" instead of "Free Download."  I still encourage you to download my music for free.  All you have to do is enter "0" in the "Buy Now" box.  Many people have asked me to give them the option to pay for these tracks, so I'm making that possible now.

Please let me know how you're doing with your own creative projects by replying in the comments below.

Have a great week!

  1. Great time signature work! Definitely some inspiring stuff.

My song #3 is only 75% done, mainly because I need to get a vocalist for it...I'm not up for singing symphonic metal. So, here's the bed music (and hey, maybe a creative person reading this will want to take a crack at it). I had a melody and lyrics for it, but I'm flexible at this point :)

    1. Sweet! I love me some symphonic metal. Unfortunately, that stuff is super hard to sing.

  2. another home run John! I opened Beam Me Up episode 353 this week with this piece! You floored me with Scavenger and backed it up with 7 Rounds! I am loving this project you are on, some powerhouse music is being generated!

  4. Hi,
I've been working on a novel in progress. I think I've cranked out about 3-4k words. A few days ago I decided I needed a break, so i switched to a short story that has been languishing for almost a year.

Making some good progress on that and it should be finished in a few days.

I'm gonna count those as 2of23, but I have written some blog posts too, so I am making progress toward my 23.

BTW, John, I loved your latest, 7 Rounds. I will be buying it; yes, buying. I figure if I want to be paid for my creative work, it is only fair that I pay for the creative works I like that others produce.

I understand about putting free work out there to interest people in your songs, but you already got me with previous stuff.

    Paul.

Good luck with the novel and the short stories!

  5. There is one beauty about unlimited music downloads. You no longer have to go through the tedious process of ripping songs from CDs and burning them either to a CD or transferring them to your MP3 player.
