I'll be attending Balticon this Saturday and Sunday. My visit will culminate with a performance on Muf Lafferty's excellent "I Should Be Writing" Live Podcast where I will appear with Mur, Gail Carriger, and Matt Wallace.
I'll probably perform a couple of songs, including a brand new one that I wrote especially for this event. The name of the new song is ... wait for it ... "I Should Be Writing".
Anyway, it should be a ton of fun and if you are attending Balticon this weekend you should try and catch it at 8pm on Sunday night.
I'll be hanging out at Balticon all day on Saturday and Sunday. If you'd like to meet up, drop me a line at 27summers@gmail.com or contact me through Twitter or Facebook.

Free MP3: We Don't Need Another Trilogy

"We Don't Need Another Trilogy" is a folk/rock/hip-hop collaboration with nerdcore superstar Dale Chase. I became aware of Dale's work through Z. of Hipster Please and GeekDad. We got to being friends on Twitter and I eventually presented him the idea of a collaboration.
"We Don't Need Another Trilogy" expresses the feeling that many Nerds have about Sci-Fi franchises: sometimes one film is enough.
Dale was an absolute joy to work with. Please go check out his website where he offers lots of free music for you to download. Even if you don't consider yourself much of a hip-hop fan, I implore you to check him out. You won't be disappointed.
We Don't Need Another Trilogy
by John Anealio & Dale Chase
Sometimes one film is enough
I don't want a sequel if its only fluff
and even though I love these characters
a third installment of this franchise should have never occurred
I love Star Wars but not the prequels
I love The Matrix but hated the sequels
Why does Science Fiction come in threes?
We don't need another Trilogy
We don't need another Trilogy
Dale's rap
I love Star Wars but not the prequels
I love the Matrix but hated the sequels
Why does Science Fiction come in threes?
We don't need another Trilogy
We don't need another Trilogy
I hope you enjoy it,
John Anealio
