    One thing that might be slightly inaccurate in the song is the contract thing.

    AFAIK, George R R Martin does have a contract. He was late on that contract. But that contract was with his publishers, and it's them that get to get annoyed or not about it. The contract isn't with the readers, so they shouldn't be bitching about when stuff comes out.

    I also really liked Scalzi's comment that he's been writing at pretty much the same rate as Martin, just in smaller chunks, so people think his writing rate is fine.
