Hey, John. Interesting. I have to ask, and I really don't know the history or background of such "collaborations," but did it cross your mind to contact any of the writers whose stories you're using as inspiration to see if any of them minded? Again, I don't know if you're required to. I just know that when I am so clearly taking something from some other place I tend to ping the creator first.
